Adverse Drug Reaction
Project Description and Aim
To determine the frequency of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) in children in Scotland and the drugs involved
Case Definition of ADR
A reaction to a medicine that is adverse to the patients wellbeing and unintended from its prescription
Reporting Instructions
Report any medicine/drug that causes a reaction that:
- Precipitates admission
- Delays discharge
- Causes modification of the child’s treatment other than cessation or reduction of the drug concerned
